Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Iowa is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist who is also a registered nurse to bridge patient care with technology. You will improve workflows, support clinical systems, and empower staff to provide exceptional care.

This is a full-time days position, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with 72 hours per pay period. As an RN with EPIC EMR experience, you’ll lead system optimizations, develop staff training, and analyze data to drive safety and quality.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for Iowa RN licensure.
Must obtain BSN within 12 years of hire.
Minimum 3 years of EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with nurses, providers, and clinical teams to improve workflows and processes.
Serve as a clinical expert for electronic health records and other healthcare technology.
Identify opportunities to improve patient safety, quality, efficiency, and the overall care experience.
Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Develop and provide education and training to clinical staff on technology and system changes.
Analyze clinical data and system functionality to identify trends and recommend improvement.
