Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge, TN is seeking a Nurse House Supervisor to lead nursing care during overnight hours and weekends. You will oversee staffing, patient care, and operations, guiding departments to maintain safe, efficient patient flow.

The role requires TN RN licensure, a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and 3 years of clinical RN work with leadership preference. BLS certification is required and collaboration with hospital leaders is essential.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee or compact state.
• 3 years of clinical experience as an RN.
• Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Represent the hospital as a key leader and coordinate issues to appropriate level for problem solving.
• Supervise nursing care and ascertain the condition of patients by rounding on all nursing units.
• Communicate with nursing Managers/Directors concerning issues on the individual unit(s).
• Communicate with the Administrator on Call regarding situations of critical importance.
• Work collaboratively with Bed Management to ensure appropriate admissions and with Directors/Managers for the proper placement of patients on the units.
• Facilitate the flow of clinical information for transfer/admission of patients from clinical settings.
• Assist with managing patient flow to eliminate delays and decrease potential issues.
• Serve as a resource for staff and providers for operational needs.
• Maintain responsibility for overnight staffing oversight.
• Serve as liaison for per diem agency staffing.
• Support Standards of Performance and ICARE values.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nursing Administrative Supervisor is responsible for staffing, patient care oversight, emergency direction, and handling complaints appropriately. This role functions as the administrative resource and expert clinician. The Supervisor provides operational and administrative oversight to all departments during off hours and weekends. The Administrative Supervisor problem solves and evaluates nursing care provided on the units and assign personnel accordingly.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
• Bachelors Degree, plan to complete a Bachelors Degree within an agreed upon timeframe, or 4 years of related experience required.
• 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
