Responsibilities

• The Nurse Extern performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• The role may be cross-trained to operate as a Unit Secretary depending on unit demands and needs.
• Care is rendered under RN supervision; performs other duties related to the work described herein.
