Job summary

Qualifications

• Maryland RN license required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• CPR/BLS Instructor certification preferred or ability to attain.
• 1–3 years of long-term care clinical experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of healthcare training or staff development experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess staff learning needs and set education priorities.
• Coordinate facility-wide training goals and monthly schedules.
• Deliver engaging education via lectures, demos, role-play, group sessions, and hands-on training.
• Provide orientation, onboarding, and just-in-time clinical training for staff competency.
• Manage Preceptorship Academy and support preceptors/new hires.
• Oversee BLS/CPR training, certifications, renewals, and skills fairs.
• Maintain documentation of staff education, licenses, and regulatory training.
• Coordinate vaccination clinics and staff health-related education initiatives.
• Lead recognition programs (DAISY/TULIP) and promote staff engagement.
• Provide leadership and coaching to departmental staff with nursing leadership and HR.

Skills

Maryland RN license
