Work Schedule: 8 Hr (7:00:00 AM - 3:30:00 PM)

Pay Range: $48.07 - $83.16 per hour

Summary

The Nurse Educator provides and coordinates care for a specific patient care unit(s). The Nurse Educator promotes quality patient care by participating in performance improvement activities, development of nursing staff, and clinical practice. The Nurse Educator serves as a role model for other clinical nursing staff. Required Job Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience and advanced knowledge in a specialized area of clinical nursing.

Physical Demands

• The ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
• Lifting or carrying objects 35-40 lbs. and lifting and positioning patients, some of whom exceed 300 lbs.
• The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter and retrieve data, and closely examine specimen, images or reports is required.
• Work conditions include performing procedures where carelessness could result in injury or illness and contact with potentially infectious materials and/or strong chemical agents.
