Job summary
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner to lead and support learning across interprofessional teams. This master’s prepared RN will guide education, competency management, and professional role development while advancing evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
The role involves onboarding, mentoring staff, developing content for courses, and partnering with ambulatory sites and James Cancer Hospital.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing AND masters in related field (i.e. MHA, Nursing Education, etc.).
- Two years of nursing experience is required.
- Current Ohio RN license required.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding/orientation, competency management, education, professional role development, collaborative partnerships, research, evidenced based practice and quality improvement.
- Serves multiple ambulatory sites for the James Cancer Hospital, onboards RNs and PCAs to clinic sites, facilitates and teaches Enterprise and James classes for nursing staff, mentors staff for professional development needs (Clinical Ladder etc.), create new content for courses and unit education needs.
- Monday - Friday 8 hour day shift.
