Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Educator - Critical Care for a full-time, on-site role in Portland, OR.

The educator will design and evaluate staff education programs, foster learning, and support professional development within the Nursing department. The position requires an RN license in Oregon, a current BLS credential, and 5 years of nursing experience in clinical or educational settings.

Description

Nurse Educator - Critical Care, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a full time, exempt position. Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, day shift. This is NOT a virtual (remote) position. $8,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

The Clinical Nurse Educator develops, coordinates, and evaluates educational programs for the orientation and work force development of staff within the Department of Nursing.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 5 years current clinical and/or educational experience in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Critical Care RN work experience
  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field. Applicants who are currently enrolled in a graduate program will be considered with an agreement to complete graduate degree within two years.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
