Qualifications

• BSN from a state-accredited school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• CPR certification for Home Health/Hospice roles.
• Valid NC Driver's License.
• Three years of tertiary care experience with two years in the assigned specialty.

Responsibilities

• Act as resource and role model in evidence-based practice; lead clinical practice groups.
• Assist with orientation and placement of nursing students; mentor graduates.
• Support design and implementation of nursing research and performance improvement projects.
• Support preceptor responsibilities to ensure new staff orientation and competency.
• Conduct learning needs assessments to plan staff educational programs.
• Coordinate orientation, staff development and continuing education.
• Develop evidence-based standards of care and clinical pathways; implement them.
• Create and evaluate educational materials, self-instruction, and e-learning programs.
• Develop patient-family education materials with subject matter experts.
• Provide clinical supervision to staff developing knowledge, skills and abilities.
