Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH, seeks an educator to oversee onboarding for a pediatric unit, delivering orientation and staff education. The role collaborates with leadership, system educators, and Professional Development to ensure goals are met.
The position requires a BSN and Ohio RN licensure, with a preference for MSN or related field and 3 years of RN experience, including pediatric settings. Certification in education/leadership is a plus.
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm, FTE: 1.0-40 hours (5x, 8 hour shifts per week). Rate starts at $36.90/hour with potential for higher pay based on relevant experience and an additional $4.70/hr for the evening shift differential. Expected to support all behavioral health nursing units as needed at the direction of leadership.
Oversees a focused unit/group, often working directly with new staff and preceptors, and continually assesses the onboarding process. Delivers educational experiences to small groups for the assigned unit. Does not manage staff but must work in collaboration with leadership and network with Professional Development and other system educators to ensure organizational and department goals are met.
BSN, required. MSN or related field, preferred.
Registered RN, Ohio, required.
Certification in Professional Development/Education, Leadership, or Clinical Specialty, preferred.
Competency in nursing clinical practice applicable to the assigned clinical unit or area.
Three years of experience as an RN required; pediatric experience preferred.
