Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking an Oncology Clinic Nurse to support care coordination, patient education, scheduling, triage, and procedures within a high-volume, magnet-designated clinic. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and participate in program growth.

The role requires strong relationship-building skills, organization, and teamwork, with work days Monday through Friday and potential float to other Saint Luke’s locations

Qualifications

• 2 years of applicable experience in oncology or clinic setting.
• BLS from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation credential.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license and related state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Phone triage for patient concerns and questions.
• Schedule emergent-need appointments and coordinate follow-ups.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls to monitor treatment progress.
• Provide patient education on procedures and care plans.
• Serve as subject matter expert in the oncology specialty for hospital RNs.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines to share best practices.
• Care for patients undergoing long-term treatment programs.

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their Oncology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to innovation and improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.

HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

May be asked to float to other locations: Plaza, Overland Park, North Kansas City, Lees Summit
