Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County is seeking a Nurse Assistant.

You will provide direct and supportive patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, assist with daily living activities and ensure patient safety on a telemetry unit. Responsibilities include preparing rooms, stocking supplies, assisting with feeding, taking and recording intake/output, and collaborating with the care team to promote comfort and quality care for patients on a 5:1–6:1

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/Equivalent required.
• PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) OR completed a minimum of one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program required.
• 1 year of relevant experience and/or relevant certification (EMT) is considered in lieu of required certification/clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under RN instructions and physician orders.
• Obtain supplies from designated supply rooms to ready patient rooms for admission and clear after discharge.
• Demonstrates feeding assistance, dysphasia precautions and calculating/recording intake and output.
• Demonstrates competence with collection of specimens (urine, clean catch, foley, stools) and basic care procedures.
• Participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and comfort and assists with toileting and mobility.

Education

High School Graduate/Equivalent

PA Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) OR clinical rotations

1 year experience or EMT alternative
