Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join our dedicated team on 36 hours/week, dayshift (7am-7:30pm). Under RN supervision, you will deliver essential patient care, assist in care planning, respond to emergencies, participate in continuing education, and uphold Henry Ford Health System standards of excellence in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or enrollment in a nursing program.
• Foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program.
• At least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs under RN supervision.
• Assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
