Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the CVICU. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform routine patient-care tasks to support patient comfort and safety.

Preferred candidates hold a CNA credential and BLS certification, with a High School diploma or GED and nursing assistant coursework. This role is a regular full-time position with 36 hours per week in Florence, SC.

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant course preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred and BLS required.

Job Description

The Patient Care Technician performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the hospitalized patient. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.

Additional Job Description

• Education: High School Graduate or hold a GED certificate preferred. Completion of an approved nursing assistant course preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience or course work preferred.
• Licenses/Certificates: Certified Nursing Assistant preferred and AHA BLS Certification required.
