Job summary

McLaren Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the nursing staff by providing basic resident care under the direction of a Licensed Nurse. You’ll help keep residents safe, clean, and comfortable, while protecting privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities include hourly rounding for pain, position, and personal needs; assisting residents in bed and wheelchair transfers; and giving baths. Required: HS diploma, Michigan CNA certification, BLS within 3 months; preferred previous CNA experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Michigan State Certified Nurse Aide training program & current State of Michigan certification.
• BLS Certification within 3 months of hire.

• Hourly Rounding including Pain, Position, Personal needs, and Possessions.
• Assist residents in and out of bed and into a wheelchair using the correct lifting and transferring technique.
• Gives residents baths.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of a Licensed Nurse, supports the Nursing Staff by performing basic nursing care to the resident. Assist and maintains a safe and clean work environment. Maintains resident privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respects resident’s rights.
