Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Nurse Apprentice at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, Nevada to provide direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor.

You will communicate with the RN preceptor about changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including diagnostic results and symptoms. Duties include bedside reporting, pediatric to geriatric assessments, and helping formulate a patient care plan with the RN preceptor.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.
Nevada CNA License required.
Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR with patient (in partnership with RN).
Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassess per policy.
In coordination with RN preceptor, formulate a patient care plan.

We are looking for a dynamic Nurse Apprentice to help provide amazing direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse preceptor. You will communicate with RN preceptor, as appropriate, about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)
Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
In coordination with RN preceptor, is able to formulate a patient care plan.
