Qualifications

  • Licensed and registered Nurse Apprentice with the state of Utah.
  • Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in patient care under RN supervision and in the patient care delivery process.
  • Collects patient data (e.g., vital signs) and reports significant changes to the supervising RN.
  • Completes accurate documentation, verified by the supervising RN.
  • Reports patient responses to treatments and collaborates with the RN to adjust interventions.
  • May assist an RN with arterial line blood draws, IV therapy, oral medications, and initiating tube feedings under 1:1 supervision.
