Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center seeks a Nurse Apprentice to support direct and indirect patient care under an RN preceptor. You will communicate changes in condition, participate in care planning, and help reassess daily with supervision.

Requirements include enrollment in a nursing program, completed fundamentals, Nevada CNA license, and current BLS certification. This is an on-site role at our Sparks, NV facility.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing.
• Has completed the fundamentals course in nursing school.
• Valid Nevada CNA license.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside report using IMAP & SBAR in partnership with the patient.
• Conduct head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess as required.
• Co-create a patient care plan in coordination with the RN preceptor.
• Revise the care plan based on patient response and evaluate daily under RN supervision.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Nurse Apprentice to help provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse preceptor. You will communicate with the RN preceptor about changes in a patient’s clinical condition, including diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Location

Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124‑bed acute care hospital located at 2375 E. Prater Way, Sparks, Nevada.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Co‑create a patient care plan in coordination with the RN preceptor.
• Revise the care plan based on patient response and evaluate effectiveness daily under RN supervision.
