Job summary

Marshall Medical Centers, an affiliate of the Huntsville Hospital Health System, is seeking an Apprentice Nursing Student to provide direct patient care under supervision and maintain care standards.

Candidate must be enrolled in a board-approved nursing program, actively engaged in an apprenticeship, hold a student nurse apprentice permit (AL BN), and obtain BLS before orientation ends.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma/GED.
• Enrolled in a board approved nursing education program.
• Actively engaged in a registered apprenticeship.
• Has obtained a student nurse apprentice permit issued form the Alabama board of nursing.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision.
• Maintain patient care standards.
• Work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
• Organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities.
• Adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
