Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a full-time role. The position offers an employer-paid pension plan, a competitive salary & benefits package, and at-will employment with the CEO.

You will administer anesthesia, monitor patient status, and perform pre/post-anesthesia visits at UMC’s Magnet-recognized facility. Requirements include a MSN/DSN with a CRNA program, Nevada CRNA license, NCRNA certification, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited MSN program with a CRNA program.
• Licensing/Certification Requirements: State of Nevada License to Practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Certification by NCRNA, and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures.
• Informs physician of patient's condition during anesthesia.
• Performs pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and documents anesthesia notes on patient records.

Job Requirement

Education/Experience: Master's or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited MSN program with a CRNA program and licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Licensing/Certification Requirements: State of Nevada License to Practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Certification by the NCRNA (National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification by the American Heart Association.

Additional Position Requirements

• Post-Master's certification from a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program
• Pediatric anesthesia experience is preferred but not required.
