Job summary

CommuniCare Health in Belmont, WV seeks a Nurse Aide/ CNA to join our compassionate care team. You will participate in shift handoffs, respond to resident needs with dignity, and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.

You will assist with activities and provide basic nursing care as required, delivering high-quality care across our center. The role emphasizes empathetic interaction with residents, adherence to policies, and participation in ongoing training to improve care standards

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Kind, patient and empathetic personality with commitment to high-quality patient care.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.
• Monitor resident requests and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for residents.
• Assist in preparing residents for activities inside and outside the center.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures as required.
• Create a safe, comfortable environment and meet resident needs.
• Ensure resident food service needs are met promptly and compassionately.
• Follow departmental, center, and corporate policies and safety standards.
• Attend scheduled training and orientation programs to improve care.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent
• Must have a kind, patient and empathetic personality as well as a commitment to providing patients with the best possible care

As a Nurse Aide, you will:

• Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.

• Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.
• Ensure that resident's food service needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to enhance quality of care.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
