Responsibilities

• Provides general care that meets psychosocial, physical condition, and age-specific needs within the nursing assistant’s scope.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, height, and intake-output.
• Assists with positioning patients, lifting, turning, and using bed-side equipment.
• Assists with meals and feeding; maintains cleanliness and comfort for patients.
• Sits with patients, answers call lights, and reports changes to supervising nurse.
• Keeps patient areas clean, organized, and safe; follows safety policies.
