Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC is seeking a compassionate Resident Services Aide to support personal care, housekeeping, laundry, meals, and social activities in a licensed assisted living setting. You will report to the Health Services Director or their designee and help maintain a home‑like environment that preserves dignity and independence for Residents.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs and mobility, serving and clearing meals, observing and reporting changes in Resident status, following

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and mobility, toileting, bathing, transfers, and environmental orientation.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up meals, and assist with dining services.
• Observe changes in resident status and communicate with nursing staff.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety policies; maintain clean, safe living areas.
• Record resident information accurately in records and comply with procedures.
• Support with social and recreational activities and ensure a home-like environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Resident.
• Receives and gives report from the previous shift.
• Reviews assignments with Designated Supervisor.
• Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with Resident records as required.
• Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.
• Assists with instrumental activities of daily living, ADL’s, environmental orientation, assistance with other care while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Assists with setting up, serving meals, and cleaning up afterwards.
• Provides services as indicated on Resident service plans, including but not limited to bathing assistance, toileting assistance, transfer, and mobility assistance.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors, including housekeeping services for Residents.
• Observes problems, concerns, and issues with Resident units, the building, and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes other problems and communicates them appropriately.
• Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules.
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required..
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency situations.
• Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.
• Notifies nurse, and/or designated agent(s) of Resident status/change as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Interacts in professional manner with Residents, public and co-workers. Works cooperatively with management. Displays willingness to assist co-workers when situation requires.
• Adequate and clear English speaking and writing ability; able to communicate effectively.
• Ability to spend long periods on feet and to ambulate quickly.
• Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations.
• Ability/willingness to follow all policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; 35 pounds regularly.
• Routinely requires pushing, pulling, bending, walking, reaching, and stooping.

Training And Experience

18 – 24 months experience in a similar position, CPR/First Aid certified preferred.

Education

Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. Attendance at mandatory in-service training. Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification. Meet in-service training hours required for job classification and position.
