Job summary

Traditions at Hunter Station in Sellersburg, IN is seeking a compassionate nurse to join our care team. You will provide hands-on nursing care, support residents’ health and well-being, and ensure dignity and respect in all interactions.

You will also serve as a resource and leader to caregivers, helping to create a collaborative environment and participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care with the team.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN licensure in Indiana.
• Minimum 1 year of licensure preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and provide patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care to residents as assigned.
• Administer medications and treatments and document accurately.
• Reinforce health instructions to residents and families.
• Collaborate with the care team to plan and evaluate nursing care.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Support a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
• Assist with unit management as assigned.

Nurse Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned
• Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned
• Reinforce supports and provides health care instructions to patients and their families
• Participates with other team members in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities
• Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
• Observes and reports patients' vital signs, symptoms and general condition to the appropriate individual(s)
• Records on patient charts observation of patient’s responses to nursing care rendered
• Maintains environmental conditions conducive to the comfort and safety of patients
• Assists with unit management and/or assume charge of unit as assigned

Nurse Qualifications and Skills

• LPN/RN Licensure: 1 year (Preferred)
