Nurse- Residential and Partial Hospitalization Centers
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide Psychiatric and medical support for 3 geographically separated treatment centers
- Coordinate initial and follow up psychiatric evaluations
- Collaborate with psychiatric team to ensure clients receive appropriate medical/psychiatric services upon admission and as needed
- Communicating to psychiatric team to address client concerns Complete Nursing Assessment, Update medication orders,
- Call in medications to pharmacy
- Communicate medication changes to staff
- Manage and execute Medication Administration
- Train/evaluate/audit medication pass/policy/procedures upon hire/as needed/ annually
- Conducting Medical Audits as required weekly and monthly
- Train and ensure medical standards compliance
- Maintain medication room in safe, neat, orderly manner
- Document and oversee documentation of medical requirements
- Oversee drug destruction process
- Keep accurate medication records, entering new medication orders/medication changes
- Completing daily/weekly/monthly audits for compliance purposes
- Participates with the multi-disciplinary team
- Oversee Urinalysis Program for safety compliance
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings
- Assist with preparation for client discharges (medications, refills, psychiatric care, etc.)
- Participate in an on-call rotation. Be available to take after-hours calls in the event of an emergency or urgent situation.
- Oversee infection control program--tracking/trending infections and providing a monthly infection control log to supervisor.
- Ensure infection control policies and procedures are followed in the event of an outbreak.
- Provide first aid to clients as needed. Provide vital checks to clients as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid State of Texas nursing license (unencumbered or restricted)
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN)
- 2 years of experience (preferred)
- Experience working in a mental health-related field (preferred)
- Current C.P.R. and other certifications as needed
