Job summary

Innova Recovery Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse or LVN to coordinate psychiatric and medical care across three centers, perform assessments, manage medications, and support discharge planning. This full-time role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

You will participate in daily to monthly audits, maintain accurate med records, and be part of an on-call rotation to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Texas nursing license (unencumbered or restricted).
• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
• 2 years of experience in a mental health-related field preferred.
• Current CPR and other certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide psychiatric and medical support for three treatment centers.
• Coordinate initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations.
• Collaborate with the psychiatric team to ensure appropriate services on admission and as needed.
• Complete nursing assessments and update medication orders.
• Administer medications and manage the medication room.
• Train and audit medication pass and related policies.
• Maintain infection control programs and log monthly results.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and discharge preparation.

Job description

Nurse- Residential and Partial Hospitalization Centers

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and provide Psychiatric and medical support for 3 geographically separated treatment centers
• Coordinate initial and follow up psychiatric evaluations
• Collaborate with psychiatric team to ensure clients receive appropriate medical/psychiatric services upon admission and as needed
• Communicating to psychiatric team to address client concerns Complete Nursing Assessment, Update medication orders,
• Call in medications to pharmacy
• Communicate medication changes to staff
• Manage and execute Medication Administration
• Train/evaluate/audit medication pass/policy/procedures upon hire/as needed/ annually
• Conducting Medical Audits as required weekly and monthly
• Train and ensure medical standards compliance
• Maintain medication room in safe, neat, orderly manner
• Document and oversee documentation of medical requirements
• Oversee drug destruction process
• Keep accurate medication records, entering new medication orders/medication changes
• Completing daily/weekly/monthly audits for compliance purposes
• Participates with the multi-disciplinary team
• Oversee Urinalysis Program for safety compliance
• Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings
• Assist with preparation for client discharges (medications, refills, psychiatric care, etc.)
• Participate in an on-call rotation. Be available to take after-hours calls in the event of an emergency or urgent situation.
• Oversee infection control program--tracking/trending infections and providing a monthly infection control log to supervisor.
• Ensure infection control policies and procedures are followed in the event of an outbreak.
• Provide first aid to clients as needed. Provide vital checks to clients as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
