Job summary

Army Healthcare seeks a Public Health Nurse to support the health and readiness of our nation’s defenders. You will assess and enhance health regulations for service members, their families, retirees, and DoD civilians, while pursuing professional growth through specialized Army training.

The role offers opportunities to monitor disease spread, develop programs, and lead health initiatives on base and during missions, with options for Active Duty or Army Reserve service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and NCLEX passage required.
• Current, valid, unrestricted nursing license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience as an RN in the United States or its territories.

Responsibilities

• Assess, enforce, and enhance health and safety regulations for service members and their families.
• Monitor and control the spread of communicable diseases.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a pass on the NCLEX


• Must have a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


• Have been practicing as an RN in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory


• Must meet all public health RN experience requirements per current RA/USAR guidance


• Must be a U.S. citizen/Green Card holder/I-551 holder to serve Active Duty or Reserves.
