Job summary

Seeds of Peace Camp seeks a full-time summer nurse for approximately 8 weeks (June 15 - August 10). You will oversee health and wellness, administer meds, triage issues, and escort campers to medical appointments or ER visits.

Team includes ten nurses living in private bedrooms in an air-conditioned health center. Responsibilities include rotating shifts with weekly days off; meals and travel to/from camp are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maine (ME).
• Current CPR certification.
• Willingness to live and work in communal camp setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall health and wellness of campers and staff.
• Administer medications and provide routine nursing care.
• Triage injuries and illnesses and coordinate care as needed.
• Escort campers to town for appointments or ER/Urgent Care visits.

Job description

Full-time, summer nurse position for approximately 8 weeks (June 15 - August 10).

Nurses manage the overall health and wellness of our camp population, administer meds, triage injuries and illnesses, and escort campers into town for appointments or ER/Urgent Care visits.

Our team of ten nurses each lives in private bedrooms in our air-conditioned health center.

Nurses will work on a rotating schedule with weekly days off. All meals and travel to/from camp are included.

Requirements:

• Registered nurse + valid ME nursing license (Easy to obtain)
• Must hold current CPR certification
