Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with CAD software (Siemens NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM software (Mastercam, Gibbs CAM).
  • Expert interpretation of complex technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
  • Solid foundation in trigonometry and geometry for calculating cutting paths and angles.
  • Understanding of G-code, M-code, and post-processing; expertise in machining aerospace composites and alloys (Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government clearance and Special Program Access (PAR).

Responsibilities

  • Develop precise NC programs using Mastercam, CATIA, or Siemens NX for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling and mill-turn machines.
  • Integrate 3D CAD models and blueprints to design efficient machining sequences and work-holding strategies.
  • Design custom fixtures and jigs in CAD for mandatory aerospace component support.
  • Conduct machine simulations (e.g., VeriCut) to verify error-free toolpaths before production.
  • Continuously optimize programs to reduce cycle times, improve tool life, and maintain high quality on high-value aerospace parts.
  • Create detailed setup sheets and tool lists to guide machinists through the production process.
  • Provide shop floor support, troubleshoot programming issues during setup, perform prove-outs, and mentor machine operators.

Travel: 10% of the time

Shift Schedule
  • A‑Shift: 7:00am – 4:30pm
  • C‑Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00am – 7:30pm

Salary
  • Primary Level: $56,700.00 – $85,100.00
  • Secondary Level: $68,200.00 – $102,400.00
