Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, TX seeks an experienced CNC programmer to design and optimize CNC programs for high-quality, on-time production. You will analyze drawings, select machines and tooling, and develop efficient machining processes.

You will troubleshoot and improve existing programs, explore new machining technologies, and collaborate with engineering to enhance part manufacturability. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a strong Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years NC programming experience using a CAM package.
  • Proven process improvement and problem solving experience.
  • Deep understanding of cutting tools and effective machining practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced CNC programmer in Grand Prairie, TX. This candidate will join a collaborative team supporting a rapidly growing shop and will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs that enable high quality, on-time production.

Responsibilities Include
  • Develop new CNC machining processes and program parts to meet design specifications
  • Analyze engineering drawings and determine the appropriate machine, machining strategy, cutting tools and parameters, and work holding strategy
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and reduce scrap
  • Research, test and implement new machining technology, cutters and equipment
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of NC programming experience using a CAM package
  • Proven process improvement and problem solving experience
  • Deep understanding of cutting tools and effective machining practices
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Desired Skills
  • Experience programming 3-5 axis mills and mill turn machines for a variety of materials
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Vericut software
  • Ability to design fixturing/workholding solutions
  • Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part machinability.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00
