Nuerodiagnostic Technologist Specialist (Must Meet ALL Requirements)

Full-time.

Schedule and FTE

• 1st Shift
• 7/70 - B Week (7 days on, 7 days off)
• Mon-Sun, 6:00am - 4:30pm.

Summary

• Under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic (ND) Tech Educator or ND Coordinator, assists in the development of and training in the educational department standards of care.
• Performs a wide variety of advanced neurodiagnostic studies, including Electroencephalography (EEG), Electromyography (EMG), long‑term and intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction velocities, autonomic testing, neuro‑interventional radiology (WADA), and positron emission tomography (PET), including diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory at the bedside, in critical care units, and in the operating room for all ages of patients served by the department.
• Other duties include but are not limited to charge capture and scheduling patients.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience is required.
• Ability to perform EEG in addition to 2 or more of the following: Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials, or Magnetoencephalography.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician is preferred with the proven ability to perform EEG in addition to 2 or more of the following: Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV), Autonomics, Long Term Monitoring, Evoked Potentials, or Magnetoencephalography.
• Preferred to have 2 registries from ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist) in any of the following: Registered EEG Technologist, Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV) Certified Autonomic Professional (CAP), Certified Long Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM), or Registered Evoked Potential Technologist.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days.
