Job summary

Oregon State University’s School of Nuclear Science & Engineering is seeking up to three part-time Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULA) for NSE 233 in Winter 2027. The role supports course instruction, assists with classroom and lab activities, holds office hours, and helps with grading under the instructor’s guidance.

Responsibilities include in-class activities, tutoring, grading, and potentially managing course materials on Canvas; attend weekly meetings with the instructor of record.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a program pursuing a class or degree
• Maintain OSU minimum enrollment standards (see NSE posting)
• Undergraduate student status with engineering major preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with in-class activities and labs
• Tutor students during office hours or in-class sessions
• Grade assignments under instructor guidance
• May help manage course materials on Canvas and attend weekly instructor meetings
