Professional Project Services, Inc. (Pro2Serve) seeks a Nuclear Quality Assurance/Quality Control Subject Matter Expert for a direct-hire opportunity in the Aiken, South Carolina area.

You will support contractor QA/QC, assessments, and vendor qualifications across all QA domains. The role requires extensive NQA-1 lead auditor experience, 15+ years in QA/QC program planning and oversight, and strong knowledge of DOE/NQA-1 standards.

Qualifications

• Current or previous Certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor with extensive experience as a lead auditor and presenting and defending assessments.
• Broad QA/QC knowledge with at least 15 years demonstrated experience planning and assessing QA/QC programs.
• Expert knowledge of ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance Code NQA-1 (NQA-1-2019 and NQA-1-2008/09a).
• Experience in commercial grade dedication, supplier qualification, and QA program development and implementation.
• Strong ability to develop plans, execute assessments, and defend results; assess Contractor Assurance programs and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support or shadow QA/QC and Contractor Assurance assessments across contractor QA and contractor assurance programs.
• Investigate potential QA/QC concerns with vendors or field implementation.
• Perform PMO assessments to assure QA program oversight coverage and alignment.
• Perform or support PMO assessments to ensure contractor QC program implementation.
• Assess suppliers' QA programs for inclusion on the approved Supplier's List and participate in vendor QA evaluations.

Job Description

Support or shadow contractor QA / QC and Contractor Assurance assessments, evaluations and validations across all aspects of the contractor's QA and contractor assurance programs including but not limited to management, planning, technology development, design engineering, construction, procurement, and startup activities.

Investigate potential contractor QA and QC concerns with vendor or field implementation.

Perform or support PMO assessments to assure contractor QA program oversight coverage, quality, and contractor assurance alignment.

Perform or support PMO assessments to ensure contractor QC program implementation.

Support or shadow contractor evaluations and qualifications of suppliers' QA programs for inclusion on the contractor's approved Supplier's List.

Participate in and/or conduct assessments of vendor activities across all aspects of the contractor's QA and QC fabrication efforts including Commercial Grade Dedication activities.

Job Requirements

Current or previous Certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor with extensive experience as a lead auditor and relevant experience must include leading, presenting and defending independent assessments.

Must have a broad range of QA/QC knowledge with at least 15 years demonstrated experience planning and assessing QA/QC programs for effectiveness.

Must have expert level knowledge of ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance Code NQA-1. (NQA-1-2019 and NQA-1-2008/09a)

Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial grade dedication, supplier qualification, and QA program development and implementation.

Must have strong technical ability to recognize areas that warrant evaluation followed by the ability to develop plans, execute assessments, and successfully defend the results.

Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in assessing Contractor Assurance programs, including issue management systems, lessons learned programs, and performance metrics and analyses.

Preferred

Demonstrated experience with DOE O 414.1D, DOE O 226.1B, and DOE O 413.3B are a substantial plus.

Glovebox fabrication experience is a substantial plus.

Demonstrated experience providing review and comment on design specifications, drawings, QA plans, procedures, work packages, etc is a substantial plus.

Knowledge and experience in the field of Software Quality Assurance is a substantial plus.

Knowledge of Contractor Assurance is a plus.

Current OR previous quality control certifications/qualifications (such as ANSI N45.2.6 Level II and Level III certifications) for one or more of the following areas: Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, Visual, Coatings, HVAC, Piping, etc. is a substantial plus. (Note these certifications are NOT required to be current.)

A broad range of knowledge and experience across many QA and QC technical areas is a substantial plus.
