Job summary

Spectra Tech of Richland, WA seeks an experienced Project Manager for Nuclear Projects I, II, III to oversee planning, scheduling, and budget control across small to medium capital projects. The PM will lead a team, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance.

Level I-III requirements outline a strong background in engineering or related fields, PM certification, and extensive nuclear industry experience.

Qualifications

Level I- Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and fourteen years of experience in a technical field; OR an AA/AS degree and sixteen years of experience in a technical field; OR a High School Diploma or GED and eighteen years of experience in a technical field. An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of two years of experience. Project Management certification is required.
Level II- Requires an advanced degree in a related field... Five years of the required experience may be in a position within the nuclear industry which includes directing project management activities and/or using project management principles. Project Management experience in commercial nuclear power plant system(s) replacements/upgrades.
Level III- Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 8 years of experience in project scheduling, with at least 4 years focused on large-scale, mega projects. Experience directly related to life cycle construction projects with a strong understanding of the engineering, procurement, and construction processes. Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is mandatory. Strong understanding of project management processes, EVM (Earned Value Management), and risk management. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedules and scenarios clearly. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with personnel at all organizational levels. Experience in Nuclear industry, renewable energy or construction is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Manages projects and programs including planning, scheduling, and control of activities with minimal oversight and direction required.
Leads project team of five to ten people. Establishes priorities within projects and maintains a general knowledge of all aspects of the projects within responsibility scope.
Directs the activities of project teams; maintains a broad knowledge base of new technologies and industry trends as related to assigned projects; monitors project management processes and recommends changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency; manages project budgets, interacting closely with the finance organization and the project controls group; and coordinates with other project and line managers.
Develops the budgets, including tracking cost versus budget for assigned projects.
