Job summary

The Kiewit Nuclear Solutions division is seeking a Procurement Quality Engineer to support the Manager of Quality Management Systems in QA oversight of procurement, CGD, and supplier activities.

You will interface with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Quality Managers to develop procurement documents, perform CGD processes, and lead package assembly for closure while promoting safe, cost-effective project execution across North America.

Qualifications

  • Four-year science degree with 8+ years in a related field.
  • Associate degree with 10+ years in a related field, at least 3 in a quality position.
  • Current Nuclear Auditor certification, or preferred Nuclear Lead Auditor.

Responsibilities

  • Support procurement QA oversight with CGD and supplier activities.
  • Develop procurement specifications derived from CGD plans.
  • Lead assembly of CGD packages for closure and coordinate reviews.
  • Build strong working relationships with supervisors and teams.
  • May participate in quality assessments as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Education

Four-year science degree plus 8 years of related experience
Associate degree plus 10 years of related experience (≥3 in quality)
Current Nuclear Auditor or Nuclear Lead Auditor (preferred)

The Procurement Quality Engineer supports the Manager - Quality Management Systems in providing quality assurance oversight of the acquisition process by interfacing with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Quality Managers in acquisition planning, Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) process, development of procurement documents, and supplier oversight.

Location

This position may be remote with occasional travel to KNS District and Project offices and supplier facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

Support the Procurement Engineering function including participation with the development of commercial grade dedication technical evaluations working in support of applicable engineering disciplines.

  • Conduct Commercial Grade Surveys and/or Source Verifications in support of Commercial Grade Dedication activities at supplier facilities and KNS Projects.
  • Assist in the development of procurement specifications that specify technical and quality requirements derived from commercial grade dedication plans.
  • Lead in the assembly of Commercial Grade Dedication Packages for closure, including coordinating final Engineering and Project Teams reviews as applicable.
  • Develop strong working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, and management team.
  • May participate in quality assessments as assigned.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

Base Compensation:$112,000/yr -$117,000/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
