Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Procurement Engineer in Jupiter, FL 33478 for a 1-year W-2 contract. The PE ensures parts ordered meet design, license, and tech specs for the nuclear plant, supporting project, operations, and outage work.

You will evaluate purchase requirements, conduct item-evaluation, address OSDDs, and coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and licensing teams to enable fleet-wide success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 0-5 years of experience in engineering roles (preferably nuclear).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering activities using standard techniques and nuclear industry standards.
• Participate in analysis and evaluation of engineering problems.
• Develop test activities to evaluate solutions and analyze data for inconsistencies.
• Provide oversight for engineering vendor activities and reviews of deliverables.
• Coordinate and serve as technical liaison within nuclear teams and other departments.
• Lead discussions and trainings to resolve problems or coordinate production and Operating Experience.
• Apply nuclear industry standards to solve new problems.
• Ensure successful implementation of assigned projects with schedule ownership.
• Support refueling outages and emergent modifications in procurement engineering.
