Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a contract procurement engineer to support engineering, maintenance and supply chain activities for nuclear projects. You will report to the Manager of Procurement Engineering and perform technical procurement including BOM updates, requisitions, and material master creation.

The role requires 3-5 years in nuclear power, CSCP, SAP proficiency, and the ability to read engineering drawings and ASME/EQ standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Nuclear Power experience
• Experience in supply chain, procurement engineering, or technical procurement support
• At least Associate's degree in a technical discipline OR equivalent hands-on experience
• CSCP certification
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience with nuclear power plant systems, structures, and components
• Familiarity with Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) systems and procurement procedures
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience working across engineering, maintenance, and supply chain disciplines
• Proficiency in SAP (engineering, work control, and supply chain modules)
• 5+ years of experience performing technical procurement reviews of services and materials
• Knowledge of ASME, EQ, and nuclear quality standards

Responsibilities

• Perform technical procurement activities including creating material masters
• Develop purchase requisitions and support BOM updates
• Conduct technical evaluations and engineering reviews
• Use SAP and other systems to implement procurement activities
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams
• Interpret engineering specifications including ASME and EQ requirements
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and nuclear quality standards
• Support supplier engagement and procurement execution in a high-demand plant environment
