Job summary

United Medical Imaging in Los Angeles is seeking a Nuclear PET CT Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using PET CT to assess patients. You will work with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and high‑quality care.

You will administer radiopharmaceuticals, monitor vital signs during procedures, and enforce radiation safety standards while maintaining detailed records for quality care and timely results.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
  • Current NMTCB or ARRT certification.
  • Current state licensure as Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technologist.
  • Experience performing Nuclear PET CT imaging procedures.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using PET CT equipment.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and monitor vital signs during procedures.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by following established radiation safety procedures.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear PET CT Technician to join our team in the Health Care Services industry. As a Nuclear PET CT Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using specialized equipment to produce images of a patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses. Your role will be critical in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology
  • Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience in performing Nuclear PET CT imaging procedures
  • Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology
  • Experience with PET CT imaging procedures
  • Experience with PET CT equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
