The Nuclear Performance Assessor is responsible for evaluating overall station performance by independently assessing the overall organization to identify problem areas where the station is not meeting targets for excellence. This position reports to the Senior Director, Fleet Performance Assessment who reports directly to the Vice President, Nuclear Support. The Performance Assessor function requires an experienced senior nuclear manager (or managers, if augmented) with broad expertise and the ability to critically evaluate functional and cross-functional areas. The scope of the function is to identify shortfalls in organizational performance through monitoring and intrusive oversight.
The Performance Assessment function provides critical input regarding organizational weaknesses to corporate leaders up through the VISTRA CEO, CNO, and CNOO. Onsite, the Performance Assessor(s) provides direct feedback to senior station leaders at the director level. With the oversight of the Senior Director, Fleet Performance Assessment and Site Director of Organizational Effectiveness, the Performance Assessor has the authority to elevate issues that are not being adequately resolved to the department managers and directors; in other cases, escalation can be to the Plant Manager or Site Vice President to ensure effective and timely actions are being taken.
