Job summary

EnergySolutions is recruiting MOV Technicians and Testers for a Fall outage project starting in September. The roles require verifiable Rotork experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 4+ years in the nuclear field.

Nuclear plant experience is highly desired and unescorted access must be obtainable, with fitness-for-duty requirements. Applicants must be able to read and follow complex instructions, operate small tools, and be available for shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Verifiable Rotork experience required.
• 4+ years of relevant nuclear industry experience.
• Nuclear power plant experience preferred.
• Must obtain nuclear unescorted access and pass fitness for duty.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to pass background and drug/alcohol screening.
• Able to work at heights and in extreme conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOV operations and testing during outage.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment as needed.
• Follow procedures and work under safety guidelines.
• Support other crafts as requested during outage.
• Maintain clear documentation and reporting of activities.

Required Education and Experience

• Verifiable Rotork experience is required
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Prior nuclear power plant experience, highly desired.
• Must be able to obtain nuclear unescorted access, including fitness for duty requirements.
• Successful completion of all training including Radiation Worker Training, Plant Access Training, Fitness for Duty, etc.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble objects and operate small equipment and power tools.
• Availability for shift work, if needed.
• Ability to support other crafts as requested.
• Ability to work at varying heights, in cramped quarters, extreme heat and/or cold, and loud environments (above 89 decibels).
• Knowledge of relevant processes and procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain knowledge of technical manuals and procedures.
• Ability to pass specific training and qualifications.
• Willingness to work overtime, including shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to pass all background and screening requirements, including drug and/or alcohol screening.
