Job summary

John Muir Health in Walnut Creek is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare patients for procedures and support patient care during imaging sessions. You will perform all nuclear medicine procedures with precision, following departmental protocols for diagnostic interpretation by radiologists.

The role requires completion of Nuclear Medicine Technology and relevant experience in medical imaging; certifications such as CNMT/CTNM are preferred, with shifts including weekends and on-call

Job description

Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs all nuclear medicine procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Education

• Completion of Nuclear Medicine Technology

Required Experience

• Medical Imaging - Nuclear Medicine

Preferred Certifications/Licensures

• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and/or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• CTNM-Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine Certificate (California State License issue by RHB) or Online state license verification from California RHB stating-License Title: ALL SCOPES DEFINED IN SECTION 30533, PLUS VENIPUNCTURE

Work Shift

• Variable shift that will include some weekends and holiday on call. Flexibility on shift is critical.
• Days worked per week: 3
• Hours worked per day: 8
• Work Shift: 08.0 - 08:00 - 16:30
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24
• Pay Range: $83.43 - $125.15 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
• Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
• Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
• The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
