Job summary

El Paso Children's Hospital is seeking an entry level Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of procedures for patients of various ages. You will support patient care in the Radiology Department and help develop department systems to improve quality of care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program, NMTCB or ARRT MRT certification, and BLS. One year of hospital experience is preferred, with rotating shifts and PRN scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine school.
• NMTCB certification or ARRT MRT registration.
• BLS certification.
• 1 year hospital Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Effective communication and team skills.

Position Summary

Performs wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures on patients of varying ages, completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in the department for procedures. Assists in the development and monitoring of department‑specific systems and coordinates activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Radiology Department.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: One (1) year experience as a Hospital staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
• License/Registration/Certification:
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification or registration with American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Education and Training: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine school.
• Skills:
  • Possesses critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
