Job summary

El Paso Children's Hospital Corporation is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a broad range of procedures for patients of all ages in the Radiology Department. You will assist in developing and monitoring department systems and coordinate activities to enhance patient care quality.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of hospital experience, NMTCB/ARRT MRT certification, BLS, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support a high-standard imaging service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hospital experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
• NMTCB or ARRT MRT certification/registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; good problem-solving abilities.

Position SummaryPerforms wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures on patients of varying ages, completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in Department for procedures. Assist in the development and the monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Radiology Department.Minimum Position RequirementsWork Experience:One (1) year experience as Hospital staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.License/Registration/CertificationNuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification or registration with American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).Basic Life Support (BLS).Education and Training:Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine school.Skills:Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
