Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with accuracy, safety, and compassion. The role requires patient preparation, correct imaging, and adherence to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT Nuclear Technology certification, an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, and the ability to operate NM equipment while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or equivalent.
• BLS or Instructor certification preferred.
• Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment and follow safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing a wide range of technical procedures independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Preparing and positioning patients, verifying orders, and assessing contraindications.
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals safely, monitoring patient condition, and responding to emergencies.
• Maintaining equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and adhering to infection control policies.
• Providing patient education, addressing questions, and ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Documenting procedures accurately, participating in departmental training, and supporting quality control.
• Transporting patients, managing supplies, and supporting departmental operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, BLS or Instructor.
• Ability to operate NM equipment, demonstrate critical thinking, and follow safety protocols.
