Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. The role involves performing radiographic procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring patient safety. Certification in NMTCB/NMT, Texas MRT, and ARRT(NM) or NMTCB is required; NMTCB PET is preferred.

BLS is also required. Cross-training opportunities may be available with supervision.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
• MRT State of Texas license.
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification.
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
• Cross-training completion under supervision; certification in alternate modality within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independent judgment.
• Perform tests inpatients and outpatients.
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in scope of practice.
• Demonstrate radiation safety principles.
