Qualifications
Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
Certification with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
Registered in positron emission tomography (PET) helpful.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
Responsibilities
Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures and medication.
Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations through advanced technical knowledge.
Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals under a physician's direction.
Monitors patient conditions during imaging procedures and collects patient information.
Demonstrates qualities of a team player and adheres to professionalism.
