Qualifications

• Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
• Certification with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
• Registered in positron emission tomography (PET) helpful.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for administration of nuclear imaging procedures and medication.
• Performs quality nuclear medicine imaging examinations through advanced technical knowledge.
• Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals under a physician's direction.
• Monitors patient conditions during imaging procedures and collects patient information.
• Demonstrates qualities of a team player and adheres to professionalism.
