Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, FL, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures on pediatric patients, produce diagnostic quality images, and prepare radiopharmaceutical doses. You will follow ALARA and safety regulations and coordinate with the PET/CT team.

The role requires Florida state license in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT NM or CNMT, and AHA BLS. Prior pediatric experience preferred; strong teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
• One year pediatric nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Proficient with common computer applications.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Measures radioactive dosage prescriptions and monitors isotope usage.
• Coordinates patient flow to maximize PET/CT scanner utilization.
• Explains procedures to patients and enters data into PACS.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and inventory; orders supplies.
• Ensures correct examinations are ordered and reviewed before exams.
• Adheres to ALARA and safety policies in all procedures.
• Communicates with Radiologist for prompt image review.
