• Interact with patients and co-workers with care, dignity and respect.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to ease fears and gain cooperation.
• Ensure exams are coded and networked to RIS and ISITE; charges entered accurately.
• Maintain records of radiopharmaceutical receipt, use, and disposal.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and follow universal protocol.
• Review patient history and apply department protocols for accurate data acquisition.
• Document patient history in the electronic record as required.
• Calculate, measure and record patient dose according to policy and safety guidelines.
• Perform nuclear medicine exams with high proficiency and technically optimal results.
• Conduct quality control checks on imaging and non-imaging equipment to ensure proper performance.
