Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radiopharmaceutical preparation, quality control, and imaging procedures with aseptic technique. You will interact with patients, provide injections, and ensure safety and accuracy across all steps.

This PRN position requires on-demand shifts and potential float to Euclid Hospital. Qualified candidates hold ARRT RT(N) or CNMT, a state license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine OR graduate of a two-year accredited Allied Health Program OR CAHEA-certified Nuclear Medicine Tech Training Program
  • Registered Technologist by ARRT (RT(N)) in good standing OR CNMT certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • Current state licensure (RL)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA or Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Perform elution of 99mTc generators, prepare radiopharmaceuticals and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Perform hot lab responsibilities with aseptic technique
  • Perform radiopharmaceutical kit preparations and quality control
  • Label and record required documentation
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol with aseptic technique
  • Screen patient, requisition, and radiopharmaceutical labels for accuracy
  • Educate patients regarding procedures and exams
  • Ensure patient safety during and after exams
  • Assist with scheduling patients
  • Perform venipuncture and maintain competencies
  • Perform quality control and assurance procedures
  • Operate dose calibrators, scintillation counters, thyroid probes, and scintillation cameras
  • Document sub-optimum results to supervisor
  • Comply with Health Department, TJC, and department regulations
  • Maintain records for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS
  • Complete after-hours image transmission and paperwork
  • Process billing via RIS
