Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will educate patients, manage IV lines, and ensure accurate records in PACS and the EMR.

Qualifications include a two-year Nuclear Medicine Technology program, NYS license, BLS, and CNMT/ARRT eligibility with certification within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited two-year Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
• CNMT certification or ARRT certification eligible; must obtain certification/registration within six months of employment.
• Current New York State DOH license required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Monitor and manage intravenous lines and related patient support equipment as appropriate.
• Explain procedures, answer questions, and address concerns to patients and families.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation in PACS and EMR, and coordinate patient transportation when needed.
