Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role involves performing and assisting with nuclear medicine procedures while upholding patient safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications include graduation from an approved radiology sciences program with nuclear medicine certification, NMTCB or ARRT(N) registry (or eligible), and strong

• NMTCB or ARRT(N) Registry or Registry eligible (achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility).
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
• Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies.
• Ensures patient safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in CQI activities.

Overview

Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies. Is responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. Participates in CQI activities.

Hours/Schedule: Full-Time (40‑hrs per week)

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in nuclear medicine.
• Licensure: If practicing in Arkansas, a Nuclear Medicine Technologist License is required.
• Experience:
  • Certification/Registration: NMTCB or ARRT(N) Registry or Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility)
  • Other: Basic computer knowledge. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science - Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Preferred Experience: 1 yr experience
• Preferred Other: Additional languages preferred.
