Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Requires national certification from ARRT Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB or equivalent and state licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care setting within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear medicine procedures following providers' orders and departmental policies.
• Educates patients and families about the procedure and expectations.
• Produces high-quality images and documents results for interpretation.
• Performs quality control and ensures safe operation of equipment and radiopharmaceutical handling per ALARA.
• Maintains a safe environment, adheres to safety policies, and ensures proper storage/disposal of radioactive materials.
• Upholds ethical, legal, and professional radiology responsibilities and maintains patient confidentiality.
